JANUARY 22 LETTER FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
Dear Katonah-Lewisboro School Community,
Superintendent Andrew Selesnick announced today that he will be retiring from our school district at the end of this school year. For nearly a decade, Katonah-Lewisboro has benefited from Andrew’s thoughtful, respectful leadership and tireless dedication to our students and staff. Andrew is leaving Katonah-Lewisboro in a stronger state than he found it and his contributions will continue to shape the future of education in our schools for years to come.
Among his many accomplishments and contributions, Andrew has cultivated strong leadership across our school district. Our assistant superintendents, building leaders and staff will provide stability and support as we make this transition. Andrew will continue to help them lead the district this year and prepare them to welcome our next superintendent.
The Board is beginning the process of finding our next district leader. As your representatives, we are honored to have this responsibility. We appreciate the importance of this decision and will approach the search with integrity and the best interests of our community in mind. This webpage will keep the community informed of our progress. There will be opportunities for you to provide input that will help enumerate the qualities we seek in our next superintendent. We will add information to this webpage as we move through the process. We appreciate your support during this transition.
Thank you, Andrew, for your commitment and presence. We look forward to upcoming opportunities to celebrate your many contributions to our school community. You will truly be missed.
Sincerely,
KLSD Board of Education
