Dear KLSD Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and that you are enjoying a wonderful summer with your loved ones. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the families and community members I have had the pleasure of meeting over the past several weeks. Your warm welcome has been truly touching and I am both excited and humbled by the opportunity to serve as your next superintendent for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District.
Growing up in Liverpool, New York, as the seventh of eight children, I learned the value of strong relationships and the importance of connection. These values have been the foundation of my journey as an educator and a father of four. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to ensuring that all children are supported emotionally, physically and spiritually to reach their highest potential.
In the months ahead, we will begin a process as a community to set our shared vision and goals for KLSD. I am eagerly looking forward to the many conversations we will have throughout the fall as together we create the KLSD 2030 Vision. These gatherings will be invaluable in highlighting our points of pride and determining the next steps to continue advancing our wonderful district. Please stay tuned for more information on these upcoming opportunities for dialogue.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the remainder of the summer with your families and loved ones.
In partnership,
Ray
