Happy Holidays

December 21, 2018

Dear Katonah-Lewisboro Families,

On behalf of all who work in our schools, I wish all our students and families a restful and joyful winter break.

As many news sources are reporting, today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 8, the first space mission that carried humans into orbit around the moon. It was the mission that produced those incredible images of our earth rising into the moon’s sky – images that truly gave us new perspective on the world we share. And it was a mission that brought a brief respite of peace and harmony into that otherwise turbulent year of 1968.

I hope the coming week and holiday celebrations will serve as a peaceful respite for all our families. Find time to be together, to switch off screens, to laugh, to read, and to take care of those in need.

We already look forward to welcoming our students back to school in 2019.

My best wishes to all for a happy and healthy New Year.

Yours,

Andrew Selesnick, Superintendent of Schools
