Middle School Participates in All-County Music Festival
On Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5, select students from John Jay Middle School participated in concerts for the 2017 Westchester County School Music Association All-County Music Festival. The All-County Bands, Choruses, and Orchestras perform on the main stage at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center.
The All-County Music Festival gives outstanding students in Westchester County opportunities for music performance at a level beyond that usually available within individual school districts. Students also have the unique privilege of working with highly esteemed guest conductors for each ensemble.
"The time working with the conductor and playing with the ensemble is an unforgettable experience that the students can carry with them throughout their musical careers," said music teachers Elena Gambulos-Cody and Jacquelyn Stroffolino. "We are so proud of their accomplishments!"
