Volunteers are an important and valued part of our school district. Volunteering might include helping out with a special school activity, supporting a field trip, or even something as simple as coming to school to read a book in one of our classrooms.
We are pleased to announce that starting this year we are using a simplified, electronic application to be sure that all volunteers are aware of the necessary rules and regulations that help us ensure the confidentiality and safety of all our students. The process will take just a few minutes to complete and we encourage any person who might wish to volunteer at any time during the year to complete this process as soon as possible.
To complete the application process please click the link “Apply to be a Volunteer” in the box to the right.
The application process will confirm that all volunteers will adhere to our Board of Education’s Volunteer Policy, Code of Conduct, and the federal government’s Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Once completed, electronic applications will be reviewed and approved accordingly. For those who do not have internet access, paper copies of the application can be obtained in the main office at each school building and should be returned to the same office.
Approved applications will be effective for the entire school year. All individuals will be required to fill out a new application each school year.
All volunteers, including one-time volunteers and visitors, must still check in and out at their school/site location and wear identification badges during their volunteer activity.
Thank you, in advance, for your interest and your willingness to support our schools and enrich the opportunities we offer our students. Thank you, also, for understanding our need to ensure the safety and confidentiality of our students. If you have any questions about volunteering please contact your child's school principal.
Once you have completed the application and it has been approved, you may view your volunteer hours by clicking on the Volunteer Portal link in the box to the right.
